There is important news for candidates who appeared for the UPTET 2026 examination. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has declared the UPTET 2026 results. The Commission has released the results for both UPTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 simultaneously on the official website, upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates can now check their results and download their scorecards by entering their login details.
**Roll Number Required**
To check the UPTET result, candidates must enter their roll number and date of birth. Candidates who do not remember their roll number should check it on their admit card.
**Result Can Be Checked in Just 4 Steps**
The UPTET result can be easily checked online in just four steps, as outlined below:
Step 1: Visit the official website, upessc.up.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the 'UPTET Result' link on the website's homepage.
Step 3: Enter your roll number and date of birth, then click submit.
Step 4: The result will appear on the screen; you can view it and take a printout.
**Cut-off and Passing Marks**
Candidates belonging to the General category must secure a minimum of 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150) to pass the exam. Candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories must secure a minimum of 55% marks (i.e., 82 out of 150). Scoring below these category-specific thresholds means you will not be considered qualified.
**Opportunity for Existing Teachers to Qualify by 2028**
It is worth noting that, in accordance with a Supreme Court order, it is mandatory for all teachers to pass the TET. In such a scenario, if currently employed teachers fail to pass the exam this time, they will still have the opportunity to qualify by 2028. However, if they fail to pass the exam even by 2028, they could face compulsory retirement or dismissal from service.
