A major update has been released for the lakhs of candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. The Uttar Pradesh Service Selection Commission has released the admit cards. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website.
What will be the shift timings?
The UPTET 2026 exam will be conducted between July 2 and July 4 across different shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The Upper Primary level exam will be held first, followed by the Primary level paper. The exam will take place at designated centers across various districts of the state.

After downloading the admit card, candidates should carefully verify the information provided on it. This includes the candidate's name, roll number, exam date, shift timings, exam center address, reporting time, and important guidelines. What will be the exam pattern?
All questions in the UPTET 2026 exam will be of the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type. There will be no negative marking. For the primary level (Classes 1 to 5), the exam will consist of 30 questions each on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
For the upper primary level (Classes 6 to 8), there will be 30 questions each on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, and Language II, along with 60 questions based on the specific subject area. The total number of questions will be 150, carrying a total of 150 marks.
What marks are required to pass UPTET?
Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks to pass the UPTET. The requirement is 90 marks out of 150 (60%) for the General category and 82 marks out of 150 (55%) for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
