UPTET 2026 & UP Super TET Syllabus OUT: Exam Time and Pattern
The UPTET exam will be of 150 minutes (i.e., two and a half hours). All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), in which you will be given four options. You will get 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be a total of 150 questions, and the entire paper will be 150 marks.
UPTET 2026 & UP Super TET Syllabus OUT: What will be included in the syllabus?
The board has clarified which subjects are compulsory in the paper and which you will have to choose.
Child Development and Pedagogy: This is compulsory for everyone. 30 questions will be asked from this section, carrying 30 marks.
Language-1 (Hindi): Knowledge of the Hindi language is also mandatory for everyone. There will be 30 questions in this section as well.
Language-2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit): Here, you will have to choose one language of your choice. There will also be 30 questions in this section.
Special Subject (60 marks): This part is the most important as it will determine your career field:
If you want to become a Mathematics or Science teacher, then you will have to solve 60 questions related to these subjects. If you want to become a Social Studies teacher, you will be given 60 questions related to that subject.
For teachers of any other subject, you will need to choose one of the options (a) or (b) given above.
