The application fee is set at ₹185 for General and OBC categories, ₹95 for SC and ST categories, and ₹25 for differently-abled candidates. The fee can be paid online.
**Exam Pattern**
The PET 2026 will be conducted in offline mode (using OMR sheets). It will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The exam duration will be 2 hours, and a negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for every incorrect answer. Questions will cover subjects such as Indian History, Geography, the Constitution, Economy, General Science, Mathematics, General Hindi, Reasoning, Current Affairs, and General Knowledge.
The score obtained in this exam will remain valid for three years. Based on the PET scores, the Commission will shortlist candidates for main examinations, skill tests, or physical efficiency tests for various Group 'C' recruitment posts.
