UPSC: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday inaugurated the new application portal, which aims to facilitate the candidates in filling out the application process online and uploading documents. The commission said in a statement that all the candidates will now have to fill out their application on the new portal and upload the documents. For this, they have to use the website https://upsconline.nic.in. The One Time Registration (OTR) module which was there earlier will no longer be applicable.

The new portal will help the candidates save time and avoid the last-minute rush. Detailed instructions for filling out the application form and uploading documents on the portal are available on the home page and in all profiles/modules.

The commission has said in its statement, "Candidates are advised to use their Aadhaar card as an identity document in their application so that the ID and other details can be confirmed easily and without any hassle. This will serve as a permanent and common record for all examinations." The new portal will be effective from 28 May
This new application portal will be effective from 28 May 2025. Along with this, the application process for CDS Exam-II, 2025, and NDA & NA-II, 2025 will also be done through this new portal, whose notification was released on 28 May 2025.

The new portal is divided into four parts, which are arranged on four different cards on the home page. Three of these parts - account creation, registration, and common application form - provide general information for all exams, which can be filled by the candidates at any time.

The fourth part is the exam. It includes exam notifications, exam application, and application status. In this part, candidates will have to fill in only the specific details of the exam, which will be done in the prescribed period as per the notification of the exam.

This arrangement allows the candidates to fill the first three parts at any time and be ready for any UPSC exam, which will save time and avoid last minute rush.
