UPSC: The most important step before the interview! Do not be careless while filling this form..

UPSC Mains 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam is considered one of the most prestigious examinations in the country. To get a UPSC job, candidates have to go through three stages - preliminary, main, and interview. Each of these stages is important, but a form filled after the main examination, which is often not taken seriously, can play a decisive role in the success of the candidate. This form is the Detailed Application Form (DAF), which forms the foundation of the questions asked in the interview.
The commission has activated the window for filling the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the candidates who have passed the Mains for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025. Candidates who have passed the main examination can fill this form by visiting upsconline.gov.in till 12 August 2025.

2. Filling incomplete or unclear information: Fill in all the information asked in the DAF completely and clearly. Incomplete information can also lead to rejection of the form or create confusion in the interview. 3. Uploading wrong documents: Upload documents in the format and size mentioned in the form. Blurry or wrongly scanned files can cause problems.
4. Taking your interests lightly: The hobbies you write in the form may be subject to in-depth interview questions. So, write only those hobbies that you are really comfortable with.
5. Not reviewing the form before final submission: Before submitting the form, read the entire information again carefully and ensure that there are no typos or errors.
