The answer key was released for the first time just four days after the exam, on May 28. Previously, the UPSC used to release the answer key only after the final results were declared—roughly a year after the CSE Prelims. In the provisional key, one question out of 100 was dropped.

Last year, the Prelims result was declared on June 11, and the exam was conducted on May 25. In 2024, the exam was held on June 16, and the result was declared on July 1.
