UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2025 Date: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has released the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. This time a total of 14161 candidates have cleared the prelims exam. Now all these candidates will appear in the most important stage of UPSC, the Mains exam, which is going to start on 22 August 2025.
UPSC Mains 2025: Application will start from 16 June
The application process for the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Mains Examination (CSE Mains 2025) will be available on the official website upsc.gov.in from June 16 to June 25, 2025. To appear in this exam, general category candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 200. However, female candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwBD) category candidates are exempted from the fee.
Candidates will also get an opportunity to provide or update scribe details and assistive devices to assist in the examination. Also, they will get the option to choose the question paper in a larger font for the main examination. If the name of a candidate has changed after matriculation or there is a difference in the name in the application form and higher secondary certificate, then it will be mandatory to submit the official documents.

UPSC Mains 2025: Know when and how will the exam be held.
Preparations for the next phase of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2025 have started. The prelims exam was conducted on 25 May 2025 and its result was declared on 12 June 2025. Now the main exam for the selected 14161 candidates will be conducted from 22 August 2025. This exam will be completely written and will be taken in the form of a subject-wise paper. Candidates who will be successful in the mains will be invited for the final stage i.e. interview round. This stage will be decisive for inclusion in the final merit list.
