UPSC CDS Question Paper 2025: Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has released the question papers for Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam-2, 2025. Candidates can download the PDF of the question papers from the official website upsc.gov.in. The exam was held on 14 September.
The question papers released include English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. Candidates can estimate their probable score with the help of these question papers and unofficial answer keys shared by coaching institutes.
UPSC CDS Exam Pattern: Exam Pattern
Each question paper was of a total of 100 marks. The English and General Knowledge papers had 120 objective questions, while the Elementary Mathematics paper consisted of 100 questions. The General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics papers were set in both Hindi and English. The duration of all the papers was two hours.
As per the marking scheme, there will be negative marking for wrong answers, and one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted for each wrong answer. If more than one answer is given for a question, it will be considered wrong, and the same penalty will apply. Whereas no marks will be deducted for leaving a question blank.
Recruitment to be done for 453 posts
The exam was held in three sessions on the same day - English from 9 am to 11 am, General Knowledge from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and Elementary Mathematics from 4 pm to 6 pm. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for an interview. This time, a total of 453 posts will be recruited through the CDS 2 Exam 2025.
