UPPSC RO ARO Mains Exam Date: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced the dates for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer Recruitment 2023 Mains exam. The notice issued by the commission can be viewed at uppsc.up.nic.in. Only those candidates who successfully passed the Prelims exam will appear for this exam.

Exam Schedule and Shift Timings
According to the commission, the UPPSC RO/ARO Mains Exam 2023 will be held over two days – January 31, 2026 (Saturday) and February 1, 2026 (Sunday).

Day 1 (January 31, 2026)

Paper 1 (General Studies): 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Paper 2 (Subjective-Objective): 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Third Session: 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Day 2 (February 1, 2026)

Hindi Essay Paper: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

The Commission has also clarified that changes to exam dates are possible under special circumstances.

Admit Card Release Information
Admit cards for the Main Examination will be made available on the Commission's website a few days before the examination. Candidates are advised to regularly visit uppsc.up.nic.in to ensure they do not miss any updates.

This is how many candidates will participate.
The RO/ARO Prelims Exam for this recruitment drive was conducted on July 27, 2025, and the results were declared on September 16, 2025. According to the Commission, a total of 7,509 candidates passed the Prelims exam and will now appear for the Mains exam.

This recruitment process will fill 411 vacant positions. Successful candidates will be appointed to the positions of Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) in various departments of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Final Selection Process
The final shortlist of candidates will be prepared based on the Mains exam scores. This will evaluate candidates' writing ability, general knowledge, and subject matter understanding. Selected candidates will be posted to various departments under the state government.
