According to the notification, selection for two vacancies of a specific post type is to be based solely on the written examination; meaning, there will be no interview for these posts. However, the results for candidates selected for these posts will be released alongside the final results for the other posts.

UPPSC has clarified that the result of the PCS 2025 Mains (written) examination will be subject to the court's decision. The UPPSC has stated that Writ Petition No. 4253/2026 and the case of Archit Shivam Mishra vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others are currently pending in the Allahabad High Court.
