There is important news for candidates preparing for the PCS examination in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the official notification for the PCS Preliminary Examination. Candidates wishing to appear for the PCS Preliminary Examination can complete the online application process by visiting the official UPPSC website. The deadline for applications is July 27, 2026. Additionally, candidates can make corrections to their forms until August 3.

**Application Fee**
The registration fee for the PCS Preliminary Examination varies by category. The fee is set at ₹125 for unreserved category candidates, ₹65 for SC and ST candidates, and ₹25 for candidates in the differently-abled category.

**Required Qualifications**
To apply, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in India.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, and the maximum age must not exceed 40 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

**Selection Process**
Candidates will be selected based on the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and an interview. The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers. Paper-1 will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and Paper-2 will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The Preliminary Examination will carry a total of 400 marks. The first shift will feature the General Studies paper, comprising 150 multiple-choice questions. The second shift will consist of the CSAT examination, which will include a total of 100 questions.
