UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Notification Released – Recruitment for Multiple Posts, Key Dates Announced
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially issued the notification for the UP PCS Preliminary Examination 2025. Aspirants preparing for the exam should take note of the important details, including vacancies, eligibility criteria, application process, and key dates.
UPPSC PCS 2025: Notification & Vacancies
UPPSC has released the notification for the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination, along with the Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Service Examination. The registration process for the prelims will commence soon.
This year, the commission has announced 200 vacancies for PCS recruitment, compared to 220 vacancies last year. However, the final number of posts may be revised as per requirements. The recruitment drive aims to fill several high-ranking government positions, including:
- Sub Registrar
- Prosecuting Officer (Transport Department)
- District Basic Education Officer
- District Accounts Officer
- Senior Spokesperson
- Chemist
- Management Officer
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university. Some specialized positions require specific qualifications:
- Sub Registrar – Law degree
- Audit Officer – B.Com
- Chemist – M.Sc
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Selection Process
The UPPSC PCS recruitment process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview
Application Fees
Candidates need to pay the following application fees:
- General/OBC – ₹125
- SC/ST – ₹65
- Divyang (PH) – ₹25
Application Process
The application form is now available on the official UPPSC website (uppsc.up.nic.in). Interested candidates must submit their applications by March 24, 2025, and ensure the application fee is paid before the deadline. Additionally, any corrections in the application form can be made until April 2, 2025.
