UPPSC PCS: Out of 932 candidates, how many were selected as SDMs, DSPs, and Assistant Commissioners—and how many women feature in the Top 10?

UPPSC PCS Result 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the final results for the PCS 2024 examination. This time, a total of 932 candidates have been declared successful. Among them, 196 candidates have been selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner. Akhil Pandey tops the list of Assistant Commissioners. Notably, the top 10 candidates in the Assistant Commissioner list include 5 women.

How many were selected as Assistant Commissioners (Commercial Tax)?
In the PCS 2024 examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), a total of 196 candidates were selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner. This position constitutes a vital part of the administrative services. Akhil Pandey leads this list, while Divya Gupta holds the second position. Rohan Gupta (UR/GEN) ranks third; similarly, Tejasvi Mishra is in fourth place, and Pawan Kumar Mishra is in fifth. Thus, 5 of the top 10 candidates are women.

How many were selected as ARTOs?
In the PCS 2024 examination, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) selected a total of 16 candidates for the posts of ARTO (Assistant Regional Transport Officer). Kueb Qureshi tops this list. Here too, a woman—Saumya Kulshreshtha—secures the second position, followed by Farz Ahmed Siddiqui in third place. Huma Praveen ranks fourth, and Abhishek Singh is in fifth place. Mohak Dubey holds the sixth position, while Astha Bansal ranks seventh.

How many were selected as Treasury Officers?
In the UP PCS examination, several candidates have also been allotted the post of Treasury Officer. A total of 22 candidates have been selected for the positions of Treasury Officer.

 How Many Became Deputy Collectors?
In the UP PCS 2024 examination, a total of 37 candidates have been selected for the post of Deputy Collector—also known as SDM. A noteworthy highlight is that 21 of these selected candidates are women, 19 of whom hail from Uttar Pradesh. Compared to previous years, this figure represents a significant improvement. In PCS 2023, 41 candidates were selected for the post of SDM; similarly, in PCS 2022, candidates were selected for 39 posts. In PCS 2021, a total of 52 candidates became Deputy Collectors.

How Many Became DSPs?
For the second most significant post in the UPPSC PCS—that of Deputy SP (DSP)—only 17 candidates have been selected in total, 7 of whom are women. When compared to previous years, 42 candidates were selected as DSPs in PCS 2023, 93 in PCS 2022, and 25 in PCS 2021.

How Many Women Are Among the 932 Selectees?
This time, out of the total 932 selected candidates, 319—or 34.22%—are women. This marks the greatest success achieved by women candidates in the last 12 years. The majority of these successful women candidates are residents of Uttar Pradesh. In comparison to previous years, 84 women (33.46%) were selected out of a total of 251 candidates in PCS 2023. In PCS 2022, 110 women (30.21%) were selected out of 364 candidates. 

In PCS 2021, 141 women (22.48%) were selected out of 627 candidates. Women candidates have also performed exceptionally well within the top 10 rankings. The top rank holder is Neha Panchal. The top 11 list features three candidates named Neha: Neha Panchal, Neha Singh (5th rank), and Neha Tomar (11th rank). Additionally, young women such as Shruti Gupta (9th rank), Ankita Gupta, Rekha, Sudha, and Tina have also secured high ranks.

Cut-off to be Released Soon
The Commission has announced that the cut-off scores for various categories will be released shortly. Selected candidates are now required to appear for document verification on the scheduled date, following which they will be appointed to the vacant positions.
