UPPSC New Rules: There will be a change in the rules of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The Yogi government has started preparations for this. In this regard, the Yogi government is going to bring a bill in the monsoon session of the Assembly. This whole exercise is to curb the incidents of paper leak in UPPSC recruitment examinations. UPPSC Process Regulation Amendment Bill, 2025
The Yogi government is going to introduce the Public Service Commission Process Regulation Amendment Bill, 2025, in the Assembly to amend the UPPSC rules. This bill is to be introduced in the monsoon session, which started on Monday. The main purpose of bringing this bill is to strengthen the UPPSC recruitment examination system and curb the incidents of paper leaks. In fact, before this, the amendment in the UPPSC rules was approved in the cabinet meeting of the UP government on 22 July.

These rules of UPPSC will be amended.

The Yogi government plans to amend sub-sections 1, 3, 4, and 5 of Section 10 of the UPPSC Act, 1985. With these changes, there will be changes in the rules related to the preparation of the UPPSC recruitment exam paper as well as the confidentiality of the paper. At the same time, a provision has been made to ensure accountability in case of paper leak with these amendments.

Now the papers will be prepared in four different sets.

The Yogi government is preparing to amend the rules of UPPSC. Instead of this, some new rules will be added. After the addition of these rules, four different sets of papers for UPPSC recruitment exam will be prepared. Till now, three sets have been prepared. In the revised rules of UPPSC, it has been arranged that each set of papers should be prepared by different experts.

The printer will be responsible if the paper leaks
In the proposed rules of UPPSC by the Yogi government, the accountability of the printer has been ensured for any kind of irregularity, including leakage of the recruitment exam paper. For this, subsection 5 of section 10 of UPPSC is being amended.

At the same time, complete arrangements have been made to maintain the confidentiality of the papers in the recruitment exam, under which, after preparing 4 different sets of papers, experts will submit them to the commission in sealed envelopes with receipts. After checking them, they will be handed over to the Controller of Examinations without any identification mark.

After this exercise, the Controller of Examinations will select one sealed set from the 4 sets of papers, which will be sent to the printer for printing. During this, it will be ensured that the printed papers reach the examination centers in sealed packets with a color code and confidential code.
