The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), has revised the schedule for the Polytechnic Admission 2026 Entrance Exam (UPJEE). Under the revised schedule, the UPJEE will now be conducted from June 2 to June 9. Previously, the entrance exam was scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 22. **Group A – Engineering Courses:** Engineering courses are available under Group A of UP Polytechnic. This group encompasses engineering courses across major trades. These three-year engineering diploma courses are recognized as pathways for lateral entry into B.Tech programs.

**Group E – Pharmacy Courses:** Pharmacy courses are available under Group E of UP Polytechnic. This program is known as the Diploma in Pharmacy, or 'D. Pharma.' It is a two-year diploma course.

**Courses from Group B to L:** Groups B through L at UP Polytechnic include diploma courses such as Fashion Designing, Home Science (*Grih Vigyan*), and Textile Design/Printing. These courses are designed for students who have completed their 10th-grade education. Courses in Groups K1 to K8: Engineering courses are also available within Groups K1 through K8 of the UP Polytechnic program; however, these courses are intended for students who have completed an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) program and are eligible for lateral entry into the polytechnic.

What is the Exam Pattern? Learn How Selection Takes Place
The UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam, conducted by JEECUP, consists of a single examination paper. This paper carries a total of 400 marks and comprises 100 questions. Four marks are awarded for each correct answer. All questions are objective-type (MCQs). A merit list is prepared based on the results of this examination, following which polytechnic institutes are allotted to the candidates.
