UPESC Exam: Tightened Security for UPTET and Other Examinations—Monitoring to be Conducted via CCTV Cameras and Biometric Systems..
UPESC Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Education Selection Commission (UPESC) has commenced preparations for various recruitment examinations. Specifically, the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET), as well as recruitment examinations for Assistant Professors and TGT-PGT teachers, are scheduled for 2026. UPESC has geared up to ensure that all these examinations are free from cheating, immune to paper leaks, and conducted with complete transparency. In line with this objective, UPESC has established a state-of-the-art Command and Control Center at its headquarters, which was inaugurated on Tuesday. Through this Command and Control Center, UPESC will monitor the examination centers.
Let us delve into the details of this entire matter. We will explore how UPESC intends to monitor the examination centers using CCTV cameras and biometric technology. Let us understand this entire process in detail.
**Examination Centers to be Monitored from the Control Room**
UPESC has instituted strict security measures for the examinations. To ensure that the exams are conducted in a cheating-free, transparent, and peaceful manner, UPESC has decided to monitor the examination centers through its Command and Control Center. Under this initiative, both the interiors and exteriors of the examination centers will be monitored using CCTV cameras. Furthermore, arrangements have been made to specifically monitor the areas outside the examination centers via CCTV to curb incidents such as cheating.
**Live Streaming of Candidates' Biometric Attendance**
While enforcing strict security protocols for the examinations, UPESC has implemented a system involving CCTV cameras and biometric attendance for candidates. Under this initiative, UPESC will broadcast the biometric attendance of candidates live from its Command and Control Center. This will facilitate real-time monitoring of the process. Additionally, a complete record of this data will be maintained at the Command and Control Center. Furthermore, should any irregularity be detected during this live monitoring, immediate instructions will be issued to address the situation.
**Commencing with the Assistant Professor Recruitment Examination**
UPESC has devised a new system for monitoring examinations. The first examination to be conducted under this new system is scheduled for April 18 and 19. Specifically, the recruitment examination for Assistant Professors is slated to be held on April 18 and 19. This examination is to be conducted across 53 centers throughout the state, spread over two shifts. For this recruitment examination, being conducted for 910 posts, 53 examination centers have been established in Prayagraj, Agra, Meerut, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi.
