UP TGT Exam 2025: The Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) exam in Uttar Pradesh may be postponed once again. The written examination is proposed on July 21 and 22 for recruitment to 3539 posts of TGT in non-government aided secondary schools of the state, but the admit cards have not been issued yet, which has increased the concern of the candidates. Earlier, this exam was postponed twice.

When will the exam be held? Increasing confusion among candidates

A total of 8.69 lakh candidates have applied for TGT. The selection board had earlier fixed the date of the examination, but this process was halted for a long time, waiting for the formation of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission. Even after the formation of the commission, the examination was postponed twice, and now the date for the third time has been fixed as 21-22 July.

The situation is not clear on the PGT exam, either.

The situation is not clear about the PGT (Lecturer) exam either. The commission had said that it would be held in the last week of August, but no official date has been announced. The continuous delay has created disappointment and confusion among the candidates.

The Selection Commission surrounded by agitation and questions

Due to the repeated delay in TGT and PGT exams, the candidates also protested against the selection commission. Many student organizations submitted a memorandum and asked, "When will the exam be held?" But they did not get any concrete answer. Due to the continuous postponement, questions are being raised on the functioning of the selection commission.
