UP TGT Exam City Slip 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the exam city slips for the TGT recruitment examination 2026. Candidates can now visit the official website to check the city where their examination will be held. This is considered a significant update for the lakhs of candidates appearing for the exam, as it will enable them to make their travel and accommodation arrangements in advance.

To view their exam city, candidates must visit the Commission's official website. There, by clicking on the 'TGT Exam City' link, they will need to enter details such as their application number or mobile number, name, father's name, and date of birth. Upon submitting this information, the designated exam city will appear on the screen. Candidates are advised to download this information for future reference.

**On Which Days Will the Exam Be Held?**

The UP TGT recruitment examination is scheduled to be held on June 3 and June 4, 2026. The examination will span two days, with two shifts conducted on each day. The morning shift will run from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, while the second shift will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The Commission is scheduled to issue the admit cards on May 30.

**614 Exam Centers Established Across 36 Districts**

This time, a total of 868,531 candidates have applied for the TGT recruitment examination. To examine such a massive scale, 614 exam centers have been established across 36 districts of the state. These districts include several major cities such as Agra, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Saharanpur, and Mathura.

**Which Paper Will Be Held on Which Day?**

On June 3, the morning shift will feature examinations for the subjects of Social Science, Physical Education, and Science. Conversely, the afternoon shift will host papers for Hindi, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Vocal Music. On June 4, the morning shift will cover examinations for English, Home Science, Biology, and Instrumental Music. Finally, the afternoon shift will feature papers for Sanskrit, Commerce, and Arts. 

**Subject-wise Vacancy Breakdown**
A total of 3,539 appointments will be made through this recruitment drive. The highest number of vacancies—557 each—are available for the subjects of Sanskrit and English. Additionally, the list includes 540 posts in Science, 533 in Mathematics, and 291 in Home Science. Furthermore, recruitment will also be conducted for subjects such as Social Science, Arts, Physical Education, Commerce, Agriculture, and Music.

**Examination Pattern**
The UP TGT examination will consist of a total of 125 multiple-choice questions. The exam will carry a maximum of 500 marks, and candidates will be allotted a duration of 2 hours to complete the paper. All questions will be of the objective type—specifically, MCQ-based. Candidates are advised to keep their admit cards and necessary documents ready before the examination.
