The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has extended the deadline for filling out online application forms for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Consequently, candidates who, for any reason, were unable to fill out the form until now may complete the application process by the revised deadline of May 3, 2026. Fee payment and form corrections can be made until May 8.

**Eligibility for Application**
To participate in the UPTET examination, candidates must have passed a B.Ed. Special Education, D.EL.Ed., 4-year B.EL.Ed., B.A. B.Ed., or B.Sc. B.Ed. program. Candidates currently studying in their final year or final semester are also eligible to apply for this examination.

**Application Process**
To appear for this examination, candidates are required to fill out the application form online. Before filling out the form, it is mandatory to complete a One-Time Registration (OTR). Therefore, candidates should first complete the OTR by providing the requested details. Subsequently, they can log in to provide the remaining details and complete the application form.

**Steps to Apply**
First, visit the official website: upessc.up.gov.in.
Next, navigate to the 'NOTICE BOARD' section and click on "Click Here" located beneath the entry for "U.P. Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET-2026) - Online Application Form."
Now, click on "New Candidate" and fill in the requested information.
Proceed to fill in the remaining details to complete the application form.
Pay the prescribed fee, submit the form, and take a printout for your records.

**Application Fee**
To appear for this examination, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of ₹1,000. Additionally, the fee is set at ₹500 for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, and ₹300 for candidates with disabilities. The fee can be paid through online modes. Please note that the application fee must be paid along with the form; otherwise, the application will not be accepted.
