The application process for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET Exam) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has concluded. Candidates who made any errors while filling out the UP Special TET form can amend them until October 8, 2026. The correction window will remain open until this date.
**Eligibility for the Special TET Exam**
Following a Supreme Court order, it has become mandatory for all currently employed teachers to pass the TET exam by the year 2028. To provide teachers with additional opportunities, the Special TET exam is being organized. Teachers currently employed at the primary level (Classes 1–5), upper primary level (Classes 6–8), and those serving as Special Educators (CWSN)—totaling 2,500—are eligible to participate in this exam.
**How to Correct the Form**
Visit the website upessc.up.gov.in to access the UP Special TET application form.
Click on the 'Special TET Application' link on the home page.
Enter your login details.
Make the necessary corrections to the information.
Submit the form and take a printout.
**Application Fee**
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of ₹1,000. The application fee is set at ₹500 for SC and ST candidates, and ₹300 for differently-abled candidates. The fee can be paid online.
**Exam Date**
The UP Special TET exam is tentatively scheduled to be held on November 3, 2026. Keep in mind that once you pass this exam, the scorecard will remain valid for a lifetime; in other words, you will not need to pass the exam again.
