UP SI Exam 2026 Guidelines: The Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector (Daroga) recruitment examination is being conducted in two shifts on March 14 and 15. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued important information for all candidates appearing for this exam. This notification includes crucial guidelines for the examination, along with an essential update regarding Aadhaar numbers—information that is absolutely vital for you to know.
The Recruitment Board has stated that candidates whose Aadhaar numbers are either not registered in their application forms or show a mismatch must report to the examination center 2.5 hours before the start of the exam. Any negligence in adhering to this requirement could lead to difficulties in being permitted to sit for the examination, and you may even miss the opportunity to take the paper.
UP Police SI Exam 2026: Essential Guidelines
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has issued five essential guidelines for candidates participating in the written examination for the UP SI recruitment. The Recruitment Board released this new notice on its official website on March 10.
Candidates must arrive at the examination venue 2 hours before the scheduled start time, carrying their admit card, Aadhaar card (or another valid ID proof such as a Driving License or Passport), and a black or blue ballpoint pen. Entry into the examination center will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam; no candidate will be granted entry thereafter.
Candidates who did not register their Aadhaar numbers during the application process, or whose Aadhaar details were found to be mismatched during the application stage, must report to the center 2.5 hours before the exam begins. Their verification will be conducted during this specific time window. Candidates are required to appear for the written examination with an 'unlocked' Aadhaar card.
To avoid any complications during the entry process, candidates are advised to reach the examination center well in advance. Furthermore, candidates must strictly adhere to all instructions provided on their admit cards.
Technical arrangements have been implemented at the examination centers to identify any individuals attempting to impersonate a candidate and take the exam on their behalf. Strict legal action will be initiated against such individuals. Bringing study materials (printed or handwritten), loose sheets of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators of any kind, credit/debit cards, rulers, notebooks, pen drives, erasers, log tables/electronic pens/scanners, digital pens, electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, keys, cameras, watches of any kind, jewelry, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, wallets/purses, sunglasses, handbags, caps, food items (whether loose or packaged), cigarettes, lighters, matchboxes, or Gutkha to the examination center is strictly prohibited. Appropriate legal action will be initiated if any prohibited material is found in one's possession during the duration of the examination.
