UP Scholarship: UP government is giving pre and post matric scholarship, know what is the application process

UP Scholarship: The Social Welfare Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has invited applications for pre and post matric scholarship for the academic year 2024 25. During the application process started from July, interested and eligible applicants can apply till 31 December. Any interested student who fulfills the eligibility criteria can apply by visiting the official website of the Uttar Pradesh government scholarship.up.gov.in. Students studying in Sanskrit schools in the state will also be able to apply for this scholarship.

This eligibility will be necessary.

For pre-matric and post matric scholarships, students of General, OBC whose family income is up to 2 lakhs will be able to apply. At the same time, the family income of the students of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category should not exceed two and a half lakh rupees. Students applying for scholarships will have to pass the final examination. A valid caste certificate will be required while applying. Also, the student must have an Aadhar card.

Keep these dates in mind

The last date for registration for scholarship is 20 December and online application can be done till 31 December. By 16 January 2025, you can take a print out of your application from the website. The data will be locked by the district committees between 31 December to 5 March 2025 and the process of student validation will be completed on PFMS between 26 November and 24 February.

Minority class students will have to register on another website

It is important to note during the scholarship process that minority backward classes like Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi students will have to apply by visiting the website of Minority Welfare Department instead of Social Welfare Department. The limit of Rs 2 lakh annual family income will also be applicable for them.
