The deadline for applications for the Post-Matric Scholarship (for courses beyond Class 12) offered by the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department is approaching. Students wishing to apply should do so as soon as possible rather than waiting for the final date, as high website traffic during the last few days could lead to difficulties in the application process.

**What is the last date?**
Candidates seeking to renew their scholarship must complete the online renewal, attach all necessary documents, and submit the hard copy of the form to their college before October 15.
Fresh applicants have been given until October 31, 2026, to fill out the form. Subsequently, students can take a printout of the form by November 2 and submit it to their college by November 4, 2026.

**Registration Process**
To apply for the scholarship, you must first visit the official website and click on the 'Post-Matric Registration' link.
Complete the initial registration by providing the requested details, then fill in the remaining information to complete the application process.
Finally, candidates should take a printout of the fully completed form and submit it—along with all required documents—to their respective school or college.

Please note that no fee is charged for filling out the form.

**Eligibility and Criteria**
The student must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh and currently studying within the state. Annual income limits are ₹2.5 lakh for the General, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, and ₹2 lakh for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. There is no annual income limit for those engaged in 'unclean occupations'.

Documents Required for Filling the Form
To apply for the scholarship, students must have an Aadhaar card/PAN card, income certificate, birth certificate, residence certificate, previous year's mark sheet, fee receipt, scanned copy of the bank passbook, caste certificate (if applicable), passport-sized photograph, enrollment number, etc.
