The Uttar Pradesh government periodically organizes job fairs with the aim of providing employment opportunities to the youth. As part of this initiative, the UP Rojgar Mela (Job Fair) 2026 is being organized. The state's Department of Employment has begun preparations to conduct the UP Rojgar Mela 2026 through the 'Rojgar Sangam' portal. Under this campaign, job fairs will be held on various dates across several districts of the state, where private companies will select eligible candidates based on interviews. A key highlight is that the application process is entirely free of cost.

Private companies from across the state will participate in this campaign—organized via the Rojgar Sangam portal—and select candidates through direct interviews. This opportunity is particularly beneficial for young people looking to kickstart their careers or seeking employment in the private sector.

Who can apply?
Candidates holding qualifications such as 10th or 12th-grade education, ITI, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation, Engineering, or MBA degrees can apply for this job fair. Youth associated with the 'Agniveer' scheme are also eligible to participate. The minimum age for application is set at 18 years, while the maximum age limit will vary depending on the specific company and the position offered.

Apply free of cost
A major feature of this recruitment drive is that no application fee will be charged to candidates from any category. Candidates belonging to General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) categories, as well as female candidates, can all apply for free.

To apply online, candidates must first register on the 'Sevayojan' (Employment) portal. After registering and logging in, they need to fill in the application form with personal information, academic details, and other required particulars. In the final step, candidates should submit the application and keep a printed copy for their records.

Districts hosting the job fairs
During June and July 2026, job fairs will be organized in several districts, including Bhadohi, Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, Jaunpur, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Etah, Firozabad, Unnao, Deoria, Rampur, Kanpur Nagar, and Bulandshahr. A special ‘Pink Job Fair’ for women will be organized in Agra, while recruitment drives for a large number of vacancies will also be held in Muzaffarnagar, Bhadohi, Prayagraj, and Lucknow on various dates.

Candidates attending the job fair should carry all their educational certificates, Aadhaar card, passport-sized photographs, an updated resume, and photocopies of these documents to avoid any inconvenience during the interview process.
