UP Polytechnic Counselling: UP Polytechnic counselling begins; check the full schedule..
UP Polytechnic Counselling: There is an update regarding counselling for admission to polytechnic courses in UP's polytechnic colleges. The UP Polytechnic counselling process for 2026 has commenced. Candidates who have qualified in the UP Polytechnic entrance exam can check the complete schedule on the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
In the first phase, candidates will have the opportunity to select their preferred colleges and branches. This will be followed by seat allotment, and selected candidates will be required to deposit a security fee. Document verification will be conducted at district help centres.
Typically, polytechnic counselling begins in late May or the first week of June. However, several changes have been proposed under new guidelines from the Central Government's Directorate General of Training (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship), which have been decided for implementation starting from the next academic session. Admissions this year will be conducted under the existing (revised) rules.
Admission to polytechnic courses this year will again be based on merit, determined by marks obtained in the High School examination. The department has established this system to ensure that seats do not remain vacant. If a candidate selected in the merit list does not take admission, the vacant seats will be allotted to other eligible candidates after the deadline.
