UP Police: Demand for a three-year age relaxation in UP Police recruitment; know the age limits in other states..
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced recruitment for police constable positions. More than 32,000 vacancies are to be filled in the state. However, young people in Uttar Pradesh are now demanding that the state government grant a relaxation in the maximum age limit for police constable recruitment. Thousands of candidates are posting on social media platforms, demanding a three-year relaxation in the maximum age limit. They are arguing that these recruitments have been pending since 2018, due to which many candidates have exceeded the age limit. Therefore, a three-year relaxation in the maximum age limit should be granted. Additionally, young people in Uttar Pradesh are also arguing that the maximum age limit for constable recruitment in other states is higher than in UP.
Know the age limits in other states:
In Bihar, the age limit for constable recruitment is 18-25 years.
In MP, the age limit for constable recruitment is 18-33 years.
In Haryana, the age limit for constable recruitment is 18-25 years.
A total of 32,679 vacancies have been announced in the UP Police. Online applications started on December 31, 2025, and will continue until January 30, 2026. Applications can be submitted on uppbpb.gov.in. The age limit for men is 18 to 22 years, while for women it is 18 to 25 years. SC, ST, and OBC categories will receive a five-year relaxation in the maximum age limit. This time, no additional age relaxation has been given to other categories.
