UP Police Constable Physical Test Dates Announced: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released the dates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the Constable Recruitment 2025. According to the notification issued by the Board, the PET will be conducted from October 1, 2026, to October 7, 2026. However, in Moradabad, Meerut, and Ghaziabad, the PET will be held up to October 8, 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 32,679 posts.

Which candidates have been called for the PET?
The written examination for this recruitment was held on June 8, 9, and 10, 2026.
The Board released the written exam results on July 31, 2026.
Candidates who secured the minimum passing marks after the normalization of written exam scores were called for the next stage.
Document verification (DV) and the Physical Standard Test (PST) were conducted for these candidates.
Now, successful candidates—as well as those provisionally successful—in this stage have been called for the Physical Efficiency Test.

When and where will the PET be held?
The details of the scheduled PET dates are as follows:

In other words, the exam will take place between October 1 and 7 in most districts, whereas in Moradabad, Meerut, and Ghaziabad, it may continue until October 8.

What will happen to the provisionally successful candidates?

The Board has also clarified that the document verification for certain candidates has been completed on a provisional basis due to specific reasons.
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for such candidates will also be conducted provisionally.
Their PET results will be subject to the final decision taken by the Board in this regard.

When will the PET admit card be released?
The admit card for the Physical Efficiency Test will be uploaded to the Board's website approximately one week prior to the scheduled exam date.
Candidates must download the admit card via the link provided on the Board's website. Subsequently, they must report to the designated exam center at the specified date and time mentioned on the admit card.

What is the required running distance?
In the Physical Efficiency Test, male candidates must complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 25 minutes.
Female candidates must complete a 2.4-kilometer run within 14 minutes.

Candidates who fail to complete the run within the stipulated time limit will not be considered eligible for the recruitment process. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed standards during the test will not be granted a second chance.

Exam to be conducted under committee supervision
The PET will be conducted under the supervision of a committee constituted by the Board.
The committee will comprise a Deputy Collector (nominated by the District Magistrate), a Deputy Superintendent of Police (nominated by the Police Commissioner/SSP/SP), and a Medical Officer (nominated by the Chief Medical Officer).
Additional members may also be included if necessary to ensure representation for Scheduled Castes, OBCs, or other categories.

Electronic timing and biometrics mandatory
Timing for the test will not be recorded manually; the run time will be recorded using an electronic timing system.
CCTV cameras and biometric verification facilities will be available at the exam center. Additionally, backup arrangements will be in place if required. This ensures transparency in the examination process and minimizes the possibility of impersonation (i.e., someone else taking the test on a candidate's behalf). At the conclusion of the examination, the list of successful and unsuccessful candidates will be released, bearing the signatures of the committee members. The results will be displayed on the examination center's notice board on the same day.
