UP Police Constable Exam: The wait is finally over for lakhs of youths aspiring to join the Uttar Pradesh Police force. The written examination for the post of Civil Police Constable and equivalent positions commenced on June 8. The exam will be conducted over three days—June 8, 9, and 10. Given the large number of candidates participating across the state, the administration has strengthened security and logistical arrangements. Special measures have been implemented to ensure the examination is transparent and free from malpractice. Strict surveillance will be maintained at the centers, and candidates are required to adhere to the prescribed rules.

**Exam to be held in six shifts**
Approximately 28 lakh candidates are appearing for this major police recruitment examination. Due to the high volume of candidates, the exam is being conducted in six shifts. The three-day examination will feature two shifts each day: the first shift from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Before the commencement of the exam, officials inspected various centers to review the preparations.

**Strict security arrangements**
The administration has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure the examination is completely free from cheating. CCTV cameras, videography, and other surveillance systems will be utilized at all centers. Candidates must undergo a screening process before entry. Items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, digital pens, and other electronic gadgets are prohibited inside the examination centers.

**Ban on various other items**
Items such as wallets, keys, caps, jewelry, pencil boxes, and food or beverages are also banned inside the examination centers. Special arrangements have been made for the secure transportation and submission of question papers and OMR sheets. Facilities such as parking, drinking water, electricity, and medical aid have been made available outside the centers.

**Special trains for candidates**
A massive influx of candidates was observed at railway stations and bus terminals in view of the examination. To facilitate travel, the railway administration has decided to run three special examination trains. This will make it easier for candidates coming from remote areas to reach the examination centers. Instructions have been issued to the railways and security agencies regarding crowd management and the maintenance of law and order.
