By effectively curbing the 'cheating mafia' and the use of imposters (proxies), the administration demonstrated an unprecedented synergy between modern technology and rigorous surveillance.

The Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), concluded peacefully across the state, marked by complete integrity, transparency, and stringent security arrangements. The 'Yogi Model'—focused on securing the future of the state's youth and preventing examination malpractice—has once again set an exemplary standard.

By effectively curbing the 'cheating mafia' and the use of imposters, the administration demonstrated an unprecedented synergy between modern technology and rigorous surveillance.

2.436 Million Candidates Out of 3.541 Million Registered Appear for the Exam

The statistics from this massive examination exercise highlight the success of the Yogi government’s management.

Total Registered Candidates: A total of 3.541 million candidates registered for the PET 2026 examination.

Attendance: Amidst tight security, 2.436 million candidates appeared for the exam across the state.

Examination Centers: The examination was held at 1,372 centers established across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Cheating Mafia Thwarted by AI, CCTV, and Biometric Surveillance

To ensure complete transparency and integrity, technology was leveraged extensively. A three-tier security framework was implemented to ensure that no malpractice could occur at any center:

AI and CCTV Surveillance: 24/7 CCTV cameras were installed in every room across all 1,372 centers. The live feeds were monitored from a state-level control room, supported by Artificial Intelligence. Biometric Attendance: To completely eliminate the risk of fraudulent candidates, the collection of thumb impressions and biometric data was made mandatory for all applicants.

Strict Screening: Candidates underwent thorough frisking before entering examination centers, with a strict prohibition on carrying any electronic devices or unauthorized materials.

Securing the Future of the Youth: Curbing Malpractice, Ensuring Transparent Examinations

The Yogi government has made it clear that no 'cheating mafia'—those who jeopardize the employment prospects and hard work of the youth—will be spared. The smooth conduct of the examination across 60 districts, without any untoward incidents or reports of paper leaks, demonstrates that the 'Yogi Model' for maintaining the integrity of examinations has now become a benchmark for the entire nation. Fair and transparent recruitment processes have instilled great enthusiasm and confidence among the candidates in the state.
