UP PCS Mains 2025 Interview Schedule Released; Interviews to Begin on September 28
Following the declaration of the UP PCS 2025 Main Examination results, the recruitment process has now entered its next phase. According to the Commission, the interviews will commence on September 28, 2026, and continue until October 24, 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the complete interview schedule for candidates who qualified in the PCS 2025 Main Examination. With the results of the Main Examination declared, the recruitment process has moved to the next stage. The interviews are scheduled to take place over a period of 19 days between September 28, 2026, and October 24, 2026. Recruitment is being conducted for a total of 28 different types of posts under the PCS 2025 examination.
Interviews to be Held in Two Shifts
According to the schedule released by the Commission, interviews will be conducted in two shifts daily. The first shift will begin at 9:30 AM; candidates appearing in this shift must report by 8:00 AM. The second shift will start at 2:00 PM, with a reporting time of 12:30 PM for candidates. Candidates will be called for the interview on the dates and in the sessions assigned based on their roll numbers.
Interviews to be Held in Prayagraj
The PCS 2025 interviews will be conducted at the ‘Saraswati Bhawan’ within the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission premises in Prayagraj. Candidates can check their specific interview date and reporting time based on their roll numbers in the schedule released by the Commission.
Download Interview Letters from September 22
Successful candidates can download their interview letters and essential guidelines from the Commission’s website starting September 22, 2026. To do this, candidates must authenticate themselves using their OTR (One Time Registration) number and password. Subsequently, they must access the applicant dashboard to complete the details related to the examination. The Commission has also instructed successful candidates to download the necessary forms and application-related documents via the online process and keep printouts ready. Candidates must also submit their post preferences online, based on their educational qualifications and the available positions. A printed copy of this preference list must be presented at the time of the interview.
Mandatory documents for the interview
On the day of the interview, candidates must bring the original copies of all their educational marksheets, degrees, and necessary certificates. Additionally, they must carry a set of self-attested photocopies of these documents. Candidates belonging to reserved categories must present the relevant category certificate in the prescribed format. EWS candidates must bring a valid EWS certificate, and candidates currently employed in government service must bring an original No Objection Certificate (NOC). The Commission has also issued instructions regarding photographs; candidates are required to bring two self-attested photographs and three standard photographs—making a total of five. Failure to produce the necessary documents may hinder participation in the interview.
10,284 candidates appeared for the Main Examination
The PCS 2025 Main Examination was conducted from March 29 to April 1, 2026, in Prayagraj and Lucknow. A total of 10,284 candidates participated in the exam. While declaring the Main Examination results on September 17, the Commission announced that 2,297 candidates had qualified for the interview. The recruitment drive initially notified 200 vacancies, a figure that was later increased to a total of 920 posts. This included 814 PCS posts and 106 ACF-RFO posts. The final selection process for the 812 PCS posts will now proceed following the interviews. However, for two of the 814 PCS posts, selection is to be based solely on the Main written examination; therefore, no separate interview will be conducted for these two positions.
