UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3: The NEET PG Round 3 counselling in Uttar Pradesh has been postponed until further notice. This decision was taken by the Director General Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh. The reason for the postponement is the delay in the commencement of the All India Quota (AIQ) NEET PG Round 3 counselling, which is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The official notification issued by DGME UP states that the third round of NEET PG 2025 counselling under the AIQ has not yet started. Therefore, the state quota counselling is also being postponed for the time being.

The notification states, "Due to the non-commencement of the third phase of AIQ NEET PG 2025 counselling by the MCC, New Delhi, the UP NEET PG counselling is postponed until further notice."
What is the reason for the delay in NEET PG counselling?
The last update related to MCC NEET PG counselling 2025 was extending the last date for candidates allotted seats in Round 2 to December 30. After this, no clear information regarding Round 3 counselling has been issued by the MCC.

It is noteworthy that according to the revised NEET PG counselling schedule released on December 17, the AIQ Round 3 process was to be completed by January 2. The data of the joined candidates was to be submitted by January 12. However, even 21 days after the schedule was released, the AIQ Round 3 counselling has not yet started.

Counselling affected by changes in seats
Recently, following a decision by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), the National Medical Commission (NMC) added 171 PG seats in approximately 27 medical colleges across the country. Due to this, the MCC NEET PG counselling has had to be rescheduled and extended several times this year. The entire counselling process has been affected due to the process of adding, removing, and approving seats.
