The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, has extended the deadline to apply for the UP Polytechnic JEECUP 2026 examination. Candidates who wish to appear for the UP Polytechnic Entrance Examination 2026 but, for some reason, have not yet been able to apply may now submit their applications until May 10.

According to the official notification, candidates who have already applied for the examination have also been provided an opportunity to make corrections to their application forms between May 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

**Eligibility Criteria for Application**
For the purpose of applying, a candidate's age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. The minimum age limit for applicants has been set at 14 years.
To apply for UP Polytechnic courses, candidates must have passed Class 10, Class 12, B.Sc., B.E., or B.Tech. in the relevant discipline. Additionally, candidates must fulfill other prescribed eligibility requirements.

**Examination Pattern**
The UP Polytechnic Entrance Examination will be conducted in a computer-based mode. All questions in the examination will be of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type. The examination will consist of a total of 100 questions. Each question asked in the examination will carry four marks. The duration of the examination has been set at 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no provision for negative marking for incorrect answers in this examination. On the day of the examination, all candidates are required to reach their designated examination center 2 hours in advance to complete the biometric registration process.

**Mandatory Payment of Registration Fee**
It is mandatory for candidates belonging to all categories to pay a registration fee in order to apply for the UP Polytechnic Entrance Examination. The registration fee has been fixed at ₹300 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories, while for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories, the registration fee is ₹200.
