Home Guard recruitment held after 15 years
This recruitment examination for Home Guards in UP was conducted after a gap of many years. The previous recruitment exam for Home Guards took place in 2011, when the Mayawati government was in power in the state. No Home Guard recruitment drives had been announced in the state since then. Although the BJP government had initiated the recruitment process in 2018, allegations of corruption led to its cancellation; the District Commandant was also suspended in connection with the matter.

What happens after the results?
Following the declaration of the UP Home Guard final results, successful candidates will undergo a medical test and police character verification. Appointment letters will then be issued to those found fit in both these stages.
