UP Homeguard PET: A major update has been released regarding the ongoing recruitment process for 41,424 Homeguard positions in Uttar Pradesh. This brings welcome news for candidates who have been awaiting the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will now conduct the Physical Efficiency Test starting September 15, 2026. The exam schedule had previously been altered due to continuous rainfall and waterlogging at several examination centers.

Approximately one lakh candidates—who successfully cleared the record scrutiny, document verification, and physical standard test (DV/PST) stages of the recruitment process—will now participate in the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates appearing for the exam must download a revised admit card instead of using the old one. According to the Board, the new admit cards will be released on September 13, 2026. Candidates can download them by visiting the official website of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

**Physical Test to Begin on September 15**

According to the UP Police Recruitment Board, the Physical Efficiency Test for candidates who qualified in the record scrutiny and DV/PST stages for the Homeguard enrollment (Enrollment-2025) will commence on September 15. Candidates are advised to carefully read the details regarding the exam center, reporting time, and other essential instructions provided on their admit cards. It is mandatory to arrive at the examination center before the scheduled time.

**Test Postponed Multiple Times Due to Rain**

The physical test for Homeguard recruitment was originally scheduled for September 14. However, it was postponed due to heavy rainfall across various parts of Uttar Pradesh and waterlogging at the exam venues. Under the revised schedule, the exam will now be held starting September 15. Prior to this, the Physical Efficiency Test had already been postponed twice due to inclement weather and rain.

Candidates are advised to download the revised admit card once it is released on September 13 and verify all the details mentioned therein. For any new updates regarding the examination, candidates should rely solely on official notifications from the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
