UP Education news: The Uttar Pradesh government is providing 'Sugamya Worksheets' specially developed in collaboration with UNICEF to 2.96 lakh Divyang children of the state to promote confidence and self-esteem.
State Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said in a statement on Wednesday, "The priority of the government is to ensure that no child is left behind. Whatever his social, economic, or physical conditions. The government is ensuring equal educational opportunities for Divyang children with 'Sugamya Worksheets'."
Seats prepared for all Divyang children
He said that this is not only a new initiative in education, but it is also a strong step towards building an inclusive and sympathetic society. Singh said that out of the worksheets based on Hindi and Mathematics for students of classes one to eight, 1,300 worksheets have been developed for classes one to five and 600 worksheets for classes six to eight.
He said that the worksheets prepared for all categories of Divyang children except the completely visually impaired children use simple language, lively visuals, and attractive format to make learning accessible and fun. The printing of worksheets has been completed and their distribution has been ensured in all districts.

The Basic Education Minister said that the worksheets are now being distributed at the development block and school level, they will be distributed in a phased manner, one set at a time. He said that the next set will be given only after the students complete one set and the teachers evaluate it.
District coordinators will review
He said that before each set, a brief discussion or activity will be compulsorily organized with the students to introduce the context. After evaluation, the students will be allowed to take the worksheets home for further practice. The minister said that special teachers will visit schools to ensure the availability of worksheets and help solve the difficulties faced by the students. Their monthly reports will be reviewed by the district coordinators.
