UP D.El.Ed Admission 2025: The application process for admission to the D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course in Uttar Pradesh will begin on November 24, 2025. The last date for applying is December 15, 2025. However, the last date for submitting the application fee is December 16, and the last date for completing and printing the online application is December 18. Furthermore, the date for publishing state ranks based on applicants' merit is December 23.

Only Graduates Can Apply
The Allahabad High Court has recognized graduation as the minimum qualification for admission to the D.El.Ed. Therefore, only graduates can apply for admission to the D.El.Ed. Course.

Admissions to 2.33 Lakh Seats
This year, admissions to the D.El.Ed. program will be available for a total of 233,350 seats across the state. These include 10,600 seats in 67 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and 2,22,750 seats in 2,974 private colleges. The process is being delayed by approximately four months due to a pending court case regarding eligibility. Online applications for the D.El.Ed. Usually begins in May or June, but this time the process is being continued only after the decision is received.

Selection Process
The merit list of applicants will be prepared based on the marks obtained in class 10th, 12th, and graduation.

Age Limit
Candidates applying for admission to the D.El.Ed. The course must be between 18 and 35 years of age. However, candidates from SC, ST, and OBC categories will be given a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

Application Fee
General and OBC – ₹700
SC and ST – ₹500
Disabled – ₹200

Candidates from other states can also apply.
This year, candidates from other states have been allowed to apply so that seats in the course do not remain vacant. However, candidates from Uttar Pradesh will be given priority at the time of admission. This is done to ensure that only candidates from Uttar Pradesh can get admission to the free seats in the District Institute of Education and Training. Furthermore, candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh will not receive any reservation and will all be placed in the reserved category.
