UP Constable Exam 2025: How to prepare for the UP Police Constable exam in 90 days? Experts offer great tips..

If you want to succeed in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam, scheduled for November, start preparing now. This exam is a major opportunity for young people, and seats are limited. Experts say that success can be achieved with a few hours of daily study combined with the right strategy. During this time, candidates must focus equally on Hindi, Mathematics, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. Daily running and exercise are also essential for the physical test. Hard work and disciplined preparation are the keys to success in the Constable Recruitment Exam.
It's worth noting that the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam is considered one of the state's most popular exams. Ajit Nagar, Director of Perfect Academy, says that 40 to 50 lakh candidates apply for this exam each year, but this time there are only 20 to 22 thousand seats. This makes competition very tough, and success is difficult without proper planning and preparation.
What is the exam format?
Ajit Nagar explains that this exam is conducted in four stages. The first is a written exam. It consists of 150 questions, carrying 300 marks. Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks, and an incorrect answer carries a negative marking of 0.5. The paper includes 37 questions, each in Hindi and Reasoning, carrying 74 marks each. Mathematics and General Knowledge have 38 questions each, carrying 76 marks each. It's important to score at least 35 percent in each subject. The written exam is followed by a physical efficiency test. Men must run 4.8 kilometers in 25 minutes, and women 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes. Physical parameters such as height and chest measurement are then assessed. Document verification and a medical examination are then conducted.
Pay attention to these subjects.
According to Nagar, UP Board students have an advantage in Hindi because they have a better command of the language, while CBSE and ICSE students have to work harder. He described reasoning as the most difficult subject and said it should be prepared with the help of an expert. Regarding general knowledge preparation, he advised that instead of studying everything, one should focus on the essential topics. For this, help can be sought from coaching institutes, libraries, online resources, or even from students preparing for the sub-inspector exam.
Focus on running too.
Ajinagar says that merely passing the written exam is not enough; physical preparation is also essential. Male candidates must complete a 4.8-kilometer run in 25 minutes, and this is not easy. Therefore, one should develop the habit of running, doing push-ups, and keeping the body fit every day. He also emphasized the importance of study time, saying that the morning is the best time to study. If students study from 4 to 7 am daily, three months of preparation is sufficient. Candidates have 90 days, or approximately 450 hours, and if they study diligently for five hours daily, their chances of success are greatly increased.
Don't burden your children with expectations. Calling mobile phones and social media the biggest enemies, Nagar urged students to use them only for studies. Otherwise, they waste precious time and attention. He also urged parents not to burden their children with expectations, as excessive pressure can lead to stress and poor performance. Failing an exam isn't the end of life; life itself is the real test. Finally, Nagar said that if students truly study hard, concentrate, and have faith in success, their hard work and dedication will surely pay off.
