The results for the Board's Class 10 and Class 12 examinations—held in 2026—are now set to be declared very soon. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has explicitly confirmed that the results will be released during the last week of April. This news comes as a relief to all those students who worked hard while appearing for their examinations in February and March. The evaluation process has been completed rapidly by the Board, and the procedure for compiling the final results has now reached its final stage.
**When and How Was the Evaluation Completed?**
The evaluation of UP Board answer sheets was completed on April 4, 2026. The evaluation work spanned from March 18 to April 4, requiring a total of 15 working days. Due to the occurrence of Eid and Ram Navami holidays during this period, the deadline for the evaluation process was extended from April 1 to April 4.
**How Many Answer Sheets Were Evaluated?**
Approximately 2.75 crore (27.5 million) answer sheets belonging to the nearly 50 lakh (5 million) students who appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were evaluated. A total of 153,000 examiners participated in this massive undertaking. The entire process was conducted under CCTV surveillance. The use of mobile phones was strictly prohibited for the examiners. For security purposes, armed police forces were deployed round-the-clock at every evaluation center. A total of 254 evaluation centers were established for this purpose.
**How Many Students Appeared for the Exams?**
This year, the UP Board examinations were held from February 18 to March 12, 2026. In the High School (Class 10) category, approximately 2,761,696 students were registered, out of whom about 2.6 million actually appeared for the examination. Meanwhile, in the Intermediate (Class 12) category, 2,576,082 students were registered, with approximately 2.45 million appearing for the exam. In total, 5,337,778 candidates were registered for the examinations. Of these, 287,000 candidates remained absent. The examination was conducted across the entire state at 8,033 examination centers.
How long will it take to prepare the results?
With the evaluation process now complete, the work of tabulation and processing is proceeding at a rapid pace. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh stated that it will take 20 to 25 days to prepare the results. Last year—specifically in 2025—the results were declared on April 25, 2025, just 23 days after the completion of the evaluation. This time as well, the Board aims to declare the results on schedule. Once the results are declared, students will be able to check and download their scorecards from the official website. The Board will issue updates periodically. More than 5 million students are hopeful that they will secure good marks. Once the results are released, planning for further studies and career paths will become easier.
