The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the schedule for the Intermediate practical examinations. The practical exams will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the exams will be held from January 24, 2026 to February 1, 2026 in 10 divisions. These divisions include Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti. However, there will be no exams on January 29 and 30, 2026, as the UPTET examination is scheduled on these two days.
The second phase of the examination will be held from February 2 to February 9. The second phase will cover 8 divisions: Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. This year, the practical examinations are being held later than usual due to the Magh Mela and the bathing festivals of Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya.
Exams under CCTV surveillance
The UP Board has stated that the practical examinations will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. The principals will keep the recordings of the examinations safe and will have to provide them if required.
High School Practical Examination
The High School practical examinations will be conducted at the school level based on internal assessment, i.e., project work, as in the previous year. High School private candidates will have to contact the principal of their forwarding center to ensure their participation in the practical examination. The marks for the High School practical examination (internal assessment), Moral Education, Yoga, Sports and Physical Education, and the Intermediate Moral Education, Yoga, Sports and Physical Education will be uploaded online on the UP Board website through the school principal. The website will be activated for uploading the marks from January 10, 2026.
Intermediate Pre-Board Practical Examination
The Class 12 pre-board practical examinations, which are conducted at the school level, will be held in the first week of January 2026 by the school principal. The Class 10 and 12 pre-board written examinations will be held in the second week of January 2026. Meanwhile, the annual examinations for classes 9 and 11 will be conducted by the school principal in the last week of January 2026 and the first week of February 2026.
UP Board Exams 2026
This year, the Uttar Pradesh Board High School and Intermediate examinations for the year 2026 will be held between February 18 and March 12. A total of 52,30,297 candidates are registered for both High School and Intermediate examinations. This includes 27,50,945 candidates for High School and 24,79,352 candidates for Intermediate.
