A major change has been made to the UP Board Exam 2026 datesheet. The Hindi and Sanskrit exams for 10th and 12th grades will now be held in separate shifts and on new dates.

Big news has arrived for millions of students appearing for the UP Board Exam 2026, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). The board has revised the datesheet for the high school (10th) and intermediate (12th) exams. The Hindi and Sanskrit exams will now be conducted in separate shifts, unlike previously. This change will impact students across the state.

According to the new schedule, the UP Board exams will begin on February 18, 2026. Previously, the Hindi exams for both 10th and 12th grades were scheduled for the same day, in the same shift, on February 18th. But now, under the revised timetable, the 10th-grade Hindi exam will be held in the first shift (morning), while the 12th-grade Hindi exam will be held in the second shift (afternoon).

Sanskrit Exam Changes

Along with Hindi, the Sanskrit exam date has also been changed. The Sanskrit paper was originally scheduled for February 20th in the first shift, but now it will be held in the second shift on March 12th, 2026. This change will give students additional time for subject-specific preparation, which is expected to positively impact their exam performance.

Exam Schedule

First Shift: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
