UP Board Exam 2026: Proposed Exam Centre List Released, Objections Accepted Online Until 4 December
The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) has officially published the proposed examination centre list for High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) Board Exams 2026. Students, schools and parents can now view the complete district-wise list online and raise objections, if any, until 4 December 2025. The move marks another step towards digital transparency in the centre allocation system, ensuring fairness and accuracy ahead of the state’s largest secondary examinations.
Online List Available — Raise Objections by December 4
According to the notification, the UP Board has proposed 7,448 examination centres for the upcoming board exams. These include:
-
910 Government Schools
-
3,484 Aided Schools
-
3,054 Unaided (Private) Schools
Candidates and stakeholders who find discrepancies or have valid concerns about the allotted centres can register objections online before the deadline. All submissions must be supported with evidence and uploaded in the prescribed format via the council portal. The board will review the objections through district-level officials for final approval.
The revised and final centre list will be uploaded on 11 December 2025, following evaluation and updates based on received submissions.
Digital Monitoring for Transparent Centre Allocation
This year, the UP Board has implemented a fully digital and data-based selection system for determining exam centres. Under this mechanism, tehsil-level committees analysed school infrastructure, seating capacity and student mapping to finalise the proposed list.
The uploaded list includes details of each centre along with student capacity, district mapping and approval status. After objections are reviewed, modifications may be applied where justified, ensuring a smoother examination process for lakhs of candidates.
District School Inspectors will assess the objections submitted online. If the concern is validated, the centre list will be amended with approval from the District Committee headed by the District Magistrate. The board has also indicated the possibility of an increase in exam centres after final revisions.
Exam Dates & Student Registration Numbers
The UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations will commence from 18 February 2026 and conclude on 12 March 2026. This year, a total of 52,30,297 students have registered for the board exams, including:
-
27,50,947 High School candidates
-
24,79,352 Intermediate candidates
The registration count has dipped by nearly 2 lakh compared to 2025 when approximately 54 lakh students enrolled. However, with over seven thousand proposed centres—and more expected post-objection review—the board aims to provide smooth and accessible exam facilities across the state.
