UP Board Exam 2026: The UP Board has begun preparations for the 2026 high school and intermediate examinations. In this regard, the UP Board is taking several steps to ensure a cheating-free examination, including the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the UP Board exams this time. For example, AI technology will be used for monitoring the UP Board exams this time.

CCTV cameras installed at all exam centers will be directly connected to AI. These high-tech cameras will be monitored from the control room at the Board headquarters.

AI will monitor 7,000 centers.
This time, approximately 7,000 examination centers will be set up for the 2026 UP Board exam. The most important thing is that the CCTV cameras installed at all these centers will now be directly connected to AI. This means that simply installing a camera will no longer be enough; instead, AI will monitor the camera.

These high-tech cameras will be directly monitored from the control room being built at the Board headquarters. If any disturbance or unwanted activity occurs at any center during the exam, such as students talking to each other or attempting to cheat, the AI will immediately spring into action and issue an alert.

Question papers will also be monitored at night.
The use of AI will not be limited to the examination hall. AI will now help protect question papers even at night. The opening and closing times of the strong room where the question papers are kept will also be tracked by AI cameras. If the strong room is opened outside the stipulated time or any attempt is made to commit any tampering, the system will immediately send an alert.

Government Releases a Budget of ₹25 Crore
The UP Board attempted to introduce an AI-based monitoring system last year. However, despite three tenders being issued, the plan was not implemented due to technical reasons. The state government has allocated ₹25 crore to implement this new system. With this budget, plans are also underway to build a permanent, high-tech control room at the Board headquarters, from which examination centers across the state will be monitored.

How will AI work?
The AI will not only monitor student activities but also ensure strict security in the strong room.
Whether it is an attempt at cheating or a timing error in the strong room, the system will issue an alert in the blink of an eye.
The cameras in all district control rooms will be directly connected to the main control room at the Board headquarters, ensuring complete transparency throughout the process.
