As the UP Board exams 2025 approach, students are diligently preparing. Everyone is striving to achieve good marks and a strong result this time. In this context, Vinay Singh, a teacher at BLJ Intermediate College, has shared some simple and effective tips for students. He says that if preparation is done in the right sequence and pattern, it becomes easy to score good marks even in a short time.
According to Vinay Singh, understanding the exam pattern is crucial for the board exams. He suggested that students should first prepare for multiple-choice questions, then move on to short-answer questions, and finally focus on long-answer questions. This reduces mental stress and helps in memorizing answers quickly.
Studying with the right pattern will improve scores
Vinay Singh, spokesperson for BLJ Inter College, said that board exams are extremely important for students' careers. If 10th and 12th-grade students study according to a proper pattern, they will benefit in the examination. He explained that it is essential to allocate study time effectively.
10th-grade students should study for 5 hours daily, and 12th-grade students should study for 6 hours daily. If a student is unable to dedicate this much time, then at least 3 to 4 hours of continuous study every day is necessary.
Vinay Singh said that while preparing, students should first prepare for MCQs. Then, they should study short-answer questions. After that, they should focus on long-answer questions. Studying in this manner saves time during the exam and helps in easily remembering the answers.
Some old questions are repeated every two years.
According to Vinay Singh, some old questions are repeated every two years in the UP Board exams. Therefore, all students should definitely review solved papers. This not only gives an idea of the types of questions but also helps in becoming familiar with the exam questions.
He said that there should be a proper study schedule. Students in the 10th grade should study for 5 hours, and those in the 12th grade should study for 6 hours. If someone cannot study for 6 hours, they should at least study for 3 to 4 hours. After studying, students should also dedicate some time to daily activities to keep their minds fresh. Don't make the mistake of trying to memorize everything.
Vinay Singh advised against trying to memorize everything. He suggested focusing first on what you understand and then dedicating more time to the topics you find difficult. He said that the morning is considered the best time for memorization. He also recommended studying subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics during the day because these subjects require a more active mind for comprehension.
He added that if you don't understand a chapter, don't move on to the next topic. Doing so will prevent you from understanding either the previous or the subsequent material, which can lead to confusion during exams.
He emphasized that understanding the subject matter, rather than simply memorizing it, not only leads to better grades but also provides an advantage in future competitive exams.
