If anyone has any concerns regarding an exam center, such as an incorrect school name or an omission, they can submit an objection online until December 4, 2025.

The UP Board has posted the list of proposed exam centers for the 2026 10th and 12th exams on its website, upmsp.edu.in. This time, a total of 7,448 schools are planned to be designated as exam centers. However, this is not yet final and subject to change.

How can you raise an objection?

If anyone has any concerns regarding an exam center, such as an incorrect school name or an omission, they can submit an objection online until December 4, 2025. After this, no complaints will be entertained. The final list will be released on December 30.

Which schools will be designated as centers?

This time, the UP Board has proposed 7,448 centers. These include 910 government schools, 3,484 aided schools, and 3,054 financed (non-government) schools. It should be noted that last year, for the 2025 board exam, 7,657 centers were proposed. These included 940 government schools, 3,512 aided schools, and 3,205 financed schools. This means that this time, there are 209 fewer centers.

Why have the centers been reduced?

The question arises as to why the number of centers has been reduced. The answer is that the number of students has also decreased slightly this time. A total of 5,230,297 students are registered for the 2026 exam. Of these, 2,750,945 are in the 10th grade, while 2,479,352 are registered in the 12th grade. Meanwhile, looking at the 2025 data, a total of 5.438 million students took the exam. At that time, 2.74 million students appeared for the 10th grade, while 2.698 million students appeared for the 12th grade.

When will the UP Board exams be held?

The UP Board has already announced that the high school and intermediate exams will begin on February 18, 2026, and continue until March 12, 2026. This means a schedule of approximately 22-23 days. According to UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh, "We have tried to ensure that every student receives an examination center in their own district and to prevent cheating, some weak and remote schools have been removed from the list this time."
