High school and intermediate Hindi exams will now be held in separate shifts. The schedule for the Sanskrit paper has also been changed. The UP Board 10th-12th Board Exams 2026 will begin on February 18, 2026.

According to media reports, the revised timetable will now see the 10th-12th Hindi exam held in the first shift on February 18th, and the 12th Hindi exam in the second shift. Previously, the 10th Hindi and 12th General Hindi exams were scheduled for the morning shift on February 18th. The 10th Elementary Hindi and Intermediate Literary Hindi exams were scheduled for the evening shift.

According to a report in Live Hindustan, the 12th-grade Sanskrit exam will now be held on March 12th in the second shift. Previously, the 12th-grade Sanskrit exam was scheduled for February 20th in the first shift, and the Intermediate English exam in the evening shift.

UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2026: How many students will appear for the exams?
More than 5.2 million students will appear for the UP Board 10th and 12th exams, including 2,750,945 students in the 10th grade and 2,479,352 in the Intermediate grade. The board exams will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. The first shift will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., while the second shift will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

UP Board Exam 2026 Admit Card: When will the admit cards be released?
Admit cards for students appearing for the high school and intermediate board exams will be issued by January 2026. Students will receive their admit cards from their respective schools. Students should note that they must bring their admit cards along with a photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID card, to the exam center.
