UP Assistant Professor: There is significant news for candidates aspiring to become Assistant Professors in Uttar Pradesh's aided colleges. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the results of the re-examination conducted for 910 Assistant Professor posts. According to the results issued by the Commission's Deputy Secretary, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, 3,155 candidates have been shortlisted for the interview out of the 39,192 who appeared for the written re-examination held on April 18 and 19, 2026. The Commission has clarified that the subject-wise and category-wise interview schedule for successful candidates will be released later. According to the Commission, due to ongoing tasks related to PGT interviews, the preparation of TGT exam results, and the upcoming UPTET examination, the interview dates and necessary guidelines will be made available on the Commission's website by July 15, 2026.

**Notifications via SMS and Email**
Candidates selected for the interview will not need to rely solely on the website for information; the Commission will also send interview-related details to the mobile numbers and email IDs provided in the application forms. Additionally, candidates must upload all their original documents online approximately 21 days prior to the interview. Once the documents are uploaded, they will be able to download their interview letter from the Commission's website.

**Result Subject to Court Orders**
The Commission has clarified that the result of this Assistant Professor recruitment drive will be subject to ongoing judicial proceedings. Specifically, the result will be governed by the order passed on April 17, 2026, in Special Appeal No. 368/2026 (*Harvinder Singh & Others vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others*) filed in the Allahabad High Court, and the order passed on May 25, 2026, in SLP No. 23758/2026 (*Dheeraj Chandani vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others*) filed in the Supreme Court regarding this matter.

This examination is scheduled to be held in Lucknow on June 13, 2026. The exam timing is set from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates can download their admit cards and exam-related guidelines by visiting the Commission's website and using their OTR (One Time Registration) number.

**What to Carry to the Exam Center?**
Candidates appearing for the main examination must bring two passport-sized photographs, the original copy of a valid photo identity proof, and a photocopy of the same to the exam center. According to the Commission, candidates will be allowed entry into the center one and a half hours before the examination begins. Meanwhile, entry will be completely closed 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
