UP Assistant Professor Exam: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has completed the application process for the Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025. UPPSC has completed the application process for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in 28 subjects. Commerce has the highest number of vacancies, with 157. This is followed by 92 in English, 87 each in Hindi and Chemistry, 79 each in Botany and Zoology, 57 in Political Science, and 56 in Sanskrit.

How will the selection be conducted?
The Commission will soon announce the date for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in UP's government colleges. Regarding the selection process, candidates will be selected in three stages: a pre-exam and an interview. Only those who qualify for the pre-exam will be eligible to appear for the main exam.

What will the exam pattern be?
Regarding the exam pattern for Assistant Professor recruitment, the pre-exam will be of two hours duration and will carry 150 marks. In this exam, 30 questions will be asked from General Studies, 90 questions from Subject Matters, and 70 questions from Mathematics. Only those who pass the pre-examination exam will be eligible to appear in the main exam. The main exam will carry 200 marks. Only successful candidates will be eligible for the interview.
