UP Agnivir Reservation 2025: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has taken out bumper recruitment for the post of Inspector. Through this recruitment, 4543 vacant posts will be filled in UP Police. For which the application process has also started. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting upprpb.gov.in. However, since the arrival of this recruitment, the question remains in the minds of the people whether Agniveers will get a chance in it. So the answer is, yes. What will be its process? Let us understand further in the article.

A 20 percent reservation will be available.

Let us tell you that in the month of June this year, the UP state government made a big historic decision for the former Agniveers. In which the government had made it clear that the Agniveers who have completed four years of service under the 'Agneepath Yojana' will get 20 percent reservation in the recruitment of UP Police and PAC. This reservation will be parallel, meaning the Agniveers who come from which category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) will get the benefit of the same category.

It is known that under the Agniveer scheme started in 2022, youth are recruited as Agniveers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force for four years. They are posted after training.

Which after completing the four-year tenure, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the rating received by the Agniveers. Out of which 25 percent of the soldiers will be made permanent. The remaining 75 percent of Agniveers will retire. In such a situation, it will be easy for these retired Agniveers to get permanent jobs in the police and PSC through this reservation.

Let us tell you that the first batch of Agniveers will retire in 2026. After this, Agniveers of the upcoming recruitments of UP Police will be able to make their jobs permanent on a 20 percent reservation.
