UKSSSC Recruitment Exams Postponed; Originally Scheduled for October 25 and November 1
There is significant news for candidates who applied for the Junior Assistant, Stenographer, and Assistant Accountant recruitment examinations conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC). The UKSSSC has decided to postpone these examinations.
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has officially postponed the recruitment examinations for the posts of Junior Assistant, Stenographer, and Assistant Accountant. These exams were originally scheduled to be held between October 25 and November 1, 2026; however, the Commission has now issued a notification confirming their postponement.
According to the notice issued by the Commission, these examinations—pertaining to two separate recruitment advertisements—have been deferred until further notice. The Commission has cited "unavoidable reasons" for this decision. Furthermore, no new dates for these examinations have been announced yet. The postponed examinations include those for the posts of Junior Assistant and Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant, as well as the examinations for the post of Assistant Accountant and other positions.
Which exams were scheduled for when?
As per the tentative schedule previously released by the UKSSSC, the examinations for Junior Assistant and Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant (for Civil Courts and Family Courts) were set for October 25. Meanwhile, the written examinations for the post of Assistant Accountant and other positions were proposed for November 1. Both of these sets of examinations have now been postponed.
When might the examinations be held now?
The notification issued by the UKSSSC states that the new dates for these examinations will be announced in due course. Candidates should keep a close watch on the Commission's official website, sssc.uk.gov.in, for updates regarding the new date. At present, no tentative date has been announced for these examinations.
What should candidates do now?
Following the postponement of these examinations, candidates are advised to continue their preparations and regularly practice subjects relevant to the exams—such as General Knowledge, General Hindi, Mathematics, Reasoning, and topics specific to the respective posts. Furthermore, candidates who have not yet completed a full revision of the syllabus should focus on consistent revision. Additionally, candidates should stay updated by regularly checking the official website of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (sssc.uk.gov.in) and must not place any trust in fake news or rumors circulating online.
